Shizuoka Marui, a landmark of Shizuoka City and beloved by its citizens for half a century, regrettably closed its doors in 2021.
We have now acquired the former Shizuoka Marui A building at this location, taking over the building.
The building is 9 stories above ground with a total floor area of approximately 1.6 hectares.
After renovation, the first three floors will be used for stores, and the fourth to ninth floors will house the head office functions.
The Surugaya Shizuoka main store, currently operating in Kouyamachi, will be relocated and new merchandise will be added, with the aim of opening in the summer of 2023.
As we represent Surugaya stores nationwide, we plan to plan events and other activities as well as dealerships.
We are committed to the development of Shizuoka as a representative store of " Shizuoka, the City of Hobbies".
