One of the initiatives is the opening of the world's largest Surugaya in central Shizuoka, with the aim of making the whole of Shizuoka a tourist destination with a new tourist attraction."UPDATE SHIZUOKA with SURUGA-YA" is a statement that aims to create a new flow of people to Shizuoka, encouraging economic development.Increase workers' salaries ,boost employment in Shizuoka and to play a role as a new cultural centre for Shizuoka by offering the largest possible selection of goods through online shopping and real stores.
In all our future corporate activities, from the services we provide to our social responsibility, community contribution and corporate governance, we will continue to play our part in" Making Shizuoka an exciting city and improving Japan by developing Shizuoka".

Background of Formulating the Corporate Message

Until now, we have been recognized as a reuse company through the purchase and sale of second-hand goods, which has been our core business since our founding. Our president, Sugiyama, has operated the business with the belief of "making Suruga-Ya a culture by gathering all works and various character goods." Over 25 years, we have built a unique content-related product information database.
From 2023, we have entered our second founding phase, aiming to become a data solution company originating from Shizuoka that supports the world's IT infrastructure. We are undergoing significant transformations, such as introducing an executive officer system and promoting job-based employment.
"UPDATE SHIZUOKA with SURUGA-YA" represents a new phase and management guideline towards our envisioned goals.
In future, we will promote our advertisements by displaying 'UPDATE SHIZUOKA with SURUGA-YA' in association with logo in all media, including the web and printed matter. The objective is not only to raise brand awareness, but also to communicate the company's various initiatives together with activities that enable customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to get a real sense of the company's activities.
